Debora and her friends from ‘Corrente do bem’ (Chain of good) were already used to doing good before the COVID-19 crisis.
When social distancing was imposed they found an excellent idea to help the homeless of their city Belo-Orizonte, Brazil: they realized it was hard to distribute cooked food for the homeless because it was hot and difficult for them to eat while going around.
So they thought a plastic bag with snacks items such as potato chips, cookies, juice, cereal bars and handsanitzers etc) that are much more conveniant would do the trick.
They called for donation and items and to make it easy they created a clotheline in a park with a cord and hang the plastic bags on it.
That way the homeless could come and help himself when hungry. It completely made their days.
This action has been going on for the past 2 months thanks to items donation.
